A fatal shooting at a Houston-area apartment complex left one man dead and a woman claiming self-defense, according to local authorities. The incident occurred inside an apartment complex on Hirsch Road near the Eastex Freeway. The Houston Police Department responded to the scene around 6:15 p.m. yesterday, where officers discovered a man with a gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of the Houston Fire Department, who pronounced him dead at the scene, the events leading up to the shooting remain under investigation.
