Early on Thursday, a man's life was cut tragically short after a shooting incident at a Houston gas station, located at 11211 Almeda Genoa Road; the event occurred at approximately 8:55 a.m., the Houston police are actively investigating the matter to uncover what led to the fatal altercation—the victim's identity, a 45-year-old male, remains unconfirmed as authorities await verification from the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division's Sergeant C. Duncan and Detective V. Nguyen arrived on the scene following a distress call about the shooting, a man had approached a station employee bearing the alarming news of his own shooting, following which the officers endeavored to provide medical aid until paramedics from the Houston Fire Department arrived to take over and transport the victim to HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake where his death was ultimately pronounced.
