Houston police are currently conducting a detailed investigation into a shooting incident that resulted in a man's death. The scene of this event was located at 13400 Northwest Freeway service road yesterday afternoon. At approximately 2:50 p.m., authorities were alerted to the presence of a male body, whose identity, a 61-year-old man, is yet to be confirmed by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
Officers from the HPD Homicide Division, including Sergeant W. Dunn and Detective L. Brooks, were dispatched to the location in response to the report. Upon arrival, the deceased was discovered under a blanket beneath the Northwest Freeway underpass. Paramedics from the Houston Fire Department were called to the scene; after evaluating the male, they determined he had suffered gunshot wounds, and pronounced him deceased, according to a statement from the City of Houston.
