Houston police are currently piecing together the events that led to the shooting death of a man at 4426 Willow Beach Drive last Saturday evening. The department's Homicide Division is actively seeking information connected to the incident that unfolded around 6:45 p.m, according to a recent report by the HPD.
Responding officers reportedly found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds beside his vehicle, a black Toyota Camry. Witnesses said that the victim had encountered four individuals by a white pickup truck prior to the shooting. Despite promptly administered medical efforts, paramedics from the Houston Fire Department pronounced the man deceased at the scene. As the identity of the victim is still to be confirmed by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, further details about those involved remain limited.
After what appears to quickly have escalated into a physical fight, the victim was shot, then attempted to drive away, ultimately crashing into a nearby residence. The shooters, who are believed to have been associated with a white, four-door Dodge Ram pickup truck, fled in an undetermined direction. An image of the vehicle in question has been released.
