A fatal hit-and-run occurred on the 8300 block of the Gulf Freeway near Bellfort on Thursday night. Around 9:30 p.m., witnesses saw a black truck speeding at over 100 mph and weaving between lanes. The crash resulted in one driver’s death and a woman’s injury, according to Click2Houston.
A black truck crashed into a Mustang and then a Jeep, causing the Jeep to flip over. The driver of the Jeep died at the scene, and a female passenger was hurt and taken to the hospital. The truck driver, believed to be in his 30s, also died. The woman's condition is unknown, as per FOX 26 Houston.
The people in the Mustang stayed at the scene and are helping with the investigation. The driver of the black truck, however, drove off. The police are asking anyone with information to contact them at 713-247-4072, as reported by Click2Houston.
