Houston police and emergency units responded quickly to manage the scene and assist with the cleanup. By 11:30 a.m., blockades were still in place, diverting traffic around the West Loop to help reduce congestion, as reported by CW39.
As cleanup continued, KHOU suggested alternative routes for eastbound I-10 drivers, including using Loop 610 North, Antoine Drive to Memorial Drive, or Beltway 8 for a longer detour.
