
Earlier today, a passenger on an MTA bus in Brooklyn became an unintended victim of a shooting. According to ABC7 New York, gunfire erupted around 1:30 a.m. near Hegeman Avenue and Thomas S. Boyland Street, leaving a 51-year-old man wounded when a bullet struck the bus he was riding. The victim was rushed to Brookdale Hospital, where he was reported to be in stable condition.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting outside the bus, where individuals exchanged gunfire, remain unclear. According to CBS New York, the NYPD confirmed that the victim suffered a gunshot wound to the neck.
The NYPD has not yet made any arrests related to the reckless incident. Details are still emerging as the investigation continues.
