A fatal motorcycle crash in Union County killed a 42-year-old Jacksonville man and seriously injured a 20-year-old woman, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The crash occurred yesterday when the rider lost control of the motorcycle while traveling west on State Road 100, as First Coast News reported.
While the investigation is still ongoing, the WCJB disclosed that the motorcycle struck the median, and in the process.
As detailed by Action News Jax, the motorcycle rotated and overturned, which likely caused the rider and passenger to be ejected. No further information has been released regarding the cause of the rider losing control.
