Kauai drivers, be aware: starting tomorrow to Friday, between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., road resurfacing will cause partial closures on three major roads in Kekaha. The work, managed by the Department of Public Works and Maui Kupono Builders, is weather permitting.
According to the County of Kaua‘i, the road resurfacing will affect sections of Iwipolena Road, Mahiko Road, and Elepaio Road. While residents in these areas will have partial access, they should expect some disruptions. Curbside parking will be prohibited in the work zone.
To minimize disruptions, flaggers will be on hand to direct traffic through the construction zones. The goal is to complete the resurfacing quickly and with as little impact on Kekaha's daily routines as possible.
For those with questions or concerns about the upcoming lane closures, they can contact Maui Kupono Builders at 808-369-1800, or reach out to Todd Ozaki of the County of Kaua‘i at 808-241-4845.
