The Kingsport Public Library is spreading holiday cheer with a variety of festive activities throughout December.

The library is offering a Holiday Cross Stitch Class for adults on December 10 at 6 p.m., where participants can make their own cross stitch ornament. "All of the materials will be provided (while supplies last)," according to the Kingsport Public Library's recent announcement. This class, for adults aged 18 and older, offers a variety of designs to choose from, allowing participants to add a personal touch to their holiday décor.

On December 11 at 3:30 p.m., the library invites the entire family to a Christmas Ornament workshop. Participants of all ages can make their own ornament from an assortment of styles provided by the library.  The library hasn't forgotten the younger crafters. "Craft with Me," scheduled for December 14 at 2 p.m., is perfect for children ages 3 to 5. This program allows little ones to explore holiday arts and crafts, helping to develop fine motor skills and a sense of community. All materials will be supplied (subject to availability).

For those curious about global holiday traditions, the library will host "Holidays Around the World" on December 19 at 4 p.m. According to the library's official announcement, attendees can enjoy "food, crafts and games from different cultures from around the world." The event will provide insight into the diverse ways Christmas, Hanukkah, Diwali, Santa Lucia Day, and other holidays are celebrated, offering a rich blend of cultural education that is both timely and timeless.
