
A teenage boy has been taken into custody following a stabbing incident that occurred in the early hours of Christmas Eve in Lake Oswego. The Multnomah County Sheriff's Office, alongside Lake Oswego police officers, responded to a distress call at approximately 2:30 a.m. in the area of South Collina Street.
Upon arrival at the scene, law enforcement apprehended the suspect, identified only as a teenage boy, outside the home where the incident took place. The victim, an adult male and a relative of the suspect had sustained injuries that were later described as non-life-threatening by authorities. He was promptly transported to a local hospital for treatment, KPTV reported.
The details surrounding the altercation between the teenager, and the adult male remain under investigation. The teenage boy is currently facing charges of first-degree assault, and it is expected that he will be taken to the Donald E. Long Juvenile Detention Facility, as indicated in the coverage by KGW.
The Multnomah County Sheriff's Office has not disclosed any further details about the relationship between the suspect and the victim, nor have they revealed potential motives behind the altercation. "Law enforcement officers located the suspect, a teenage boy, outside the home and arrested him," the sheriff’s office stated in a brief provided to KATU. The sheriff’s office has yet to release additional information pending the ongoing investigation.
