The Lewisville Grand Theater is gearing up to showcase a quartet of artistic minds in the "2025 Four Artists: Nam, Bruno, Lee, and Lee" exhibition, commencing January 4. Art enthusiasts can revel in the diverse array of creativity on display, stretching across a spectrum from spiritual themes to surreal narratives. An opening reception, set to kick off the exhibit, will warmly welcome visitors on the same day, from 2-5 p.m.
The collective exhibition promises to not just serve visual aesthetics but also to challenge viewers to deeply engage with the works on display. Yoonsoo Nam, known for imbuing her poetry and paintings with divine luminescence, plans to take attendees on a journey through abstract forms infused with spiritual symbolism. According to the City of Lewisville, Nam was honored as Poet Laureate for the City of Lewisville for the two-year term before this event.
Throwing contrasting vibes into the mix, Carol Bruno's abstract pieces, which integrate realism with a touch of the everyday, stand to add another layer of texture to the exhibit. Bruno is known for her use of unconventional materials such as pasta and kitchen utensils to bring her multidimensional pieces to life. Meanwhile, Cha In Lee seeks to simply capture the essence of forms, with a philosophical bent on the importance of lines and shapes like the hexagon in art and reality. Jin Lee's work juxtaposes this with a focus on Korean watercolor techniques on traditional Jang-Ji paper, depicting powerful feminine energies within dreamlike scenarios.
The exhibition will span until March 4, exquisitely unfolding the multifaceted threads of creativity that Nam, Bruno, and both Lees wrap the audience in. For those local to or visiting the Lewisville area, it is poised to be an invaluable cross-section of talent and transformation through the artistic lens. The venue promises a free parking space along Main and Church streets, or at Lewisville City Hall. Art lovers are encouraged to mark their calendars and experience this artful convergence of expression and innovation.
