Līhu‘e residents are being notified of upcoming road closures that will affect Poinciana Street, according to an update from the Kauai government. The closure, slated to begin on Monday and extend through Wednesday, is set to take place between the intersections of Nakamura Street and Kūhiō Highway.

Announced as part of necessary emergency sewer line repairs by the Wastewater Management Division, the road will not be accessible from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily during the mentioned dates. Residents of Poinciana Street will be allowed limited access, intending to minimize the disruption while allowing essential maintenance work. Motorists have been cautioned to expect potential delays if navigating through the surrounding areas.

This recent update follows a similar closure that took place from December 3 to December 6, indicating an ongoing effort to address the sewer line issues in Līhu‘e. Information released by the County of Kauai had previously emphasized the necessity of such infrastructure works and the local authorities' commitment to ensuring minimal inconvenience to the community.
