A shooting incident disrupted the Long Beach night last Saturday, casting a shadow across the community. At around 12:10 A.M., Long Beach Police Department officers were summoned to a local hospital, following a report of a shooting victim. According to the LBPD Blotter, a male adult sustained non-life-threatening injuries when he was hit by gunfire on the upper body while traversing the 300 block of Long Beach Boulevard.
The victim, believing the sudden noises to be gunshots, took a bullet to his lower body. Before the police arrived, he managed to get himself to the hospital for care. The LBPD officers conducted a search of the area following the incident, yet they came up empty in their hunt for a crime scene. Currently, the shooter and motive remain unknown.
