Tragedy struck on Christmas evening in Los Angeles as a man was fatally shot at the intersection of Cedros Avenue and Parthenia Street, with the Los Angeles Police Department now appealing to the public for assistance in a case that leaves a community grasping for answers and a family in mourning.
According to the LAPD, the incident occurred approximately at 8:50 p.m., and upon arrival, Mission Area officers were confronted with a grim scene, a man lying lifeless on the sidewalk, his residence just a stone's throw away, he had stepped outside into the brisk night air and an ultimately fatal altercation, the precise motives and circumstances of which remain shrouded in uncertainty.
As per a press release by the LAPD, despite the efforts of the Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics, the man was pronounced dead at the scene, his identity has yet to be disclosed as next of kin notifications are pending. There is currently no suspect information available to the public.
