Three suspects, identified as residents of Los Angeles, have been arrested in connection with a residential burglary in Loma Linda and an attempted burglary in Chino Hills. According to a statement from the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department, the incidents occurred on Friday, December 13.
The suspects, named Kenny Xaver Warren, 37, Kwan Isiah Smith, 27, and Jerone Markel Pennington, 28, were apprehended after a particulate gray Audi sports utility vehicle was linked to both crimes. Video surveillance captured the burglars, shrouded in masks and identifiable clothing, shattering the rear sliding glass door of a home in Loma Linda to steal firearms. Shortly after, the Chino Hills Police Department responded to a related attempted burglary featuring the same suspects and vehicle, as detailed by the SBSD Central.
The suspects were located in Los Angeles after deputies identified the license plate of the gray Audi SUV. Following a brief pursuit by the Los Angeles Police Department, all three occupants were taken into custody. The ensuing search of the Audi by San Bernardino County detectives turned up a firearm, masks, burglary tools, cash, and clothing matching the description from the surveillance footage, as per the SBSD Central.
All three suspects were on parole at the time of their arrest, with Pennington also having several active warrants. They have been charged with PC 459 residential burglary and PC 182(a)(1) conspiracy to commit a felony. They are currently being held at the West Valley Detention Center without bail. The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department is requesting help from the public, encouraging anyone with information on the case to come forward.
