In a coordinated sweep by law enforcement, a Dorchester apartment became the focal point of an extensive drug and firearms bust. Early yesterday morning, the Boston Police Drug Control Unit and the FBI Metro Gang Task Force arrested three individuals on a slew of charges following an in-depth drug investigation.
Identified as William Pritchett, 38, of Dorchester, Michael Hardy, 59, of Mattapan, and Philoma Barrows, 52, of Dorchester, the three were apprehended as officers observed the target of their investigation. With the aid of a search warrant, they approached the suspect, whose firearm possession was quickly ascertained upon interception.
An ensuing search of the targeted residence yielded an arsenal that included a stolen AK47 style rifle with a loaded fifty round drum magazine, a Taurus Firearm, additional ammunition, and a substantial quantity of Crystal Methamphetamine. According to the official police release, the handgun recovered from Pritchett was a .38 Special Revolver boasting five rounds.
