Earlier this morning, an incident at the Summergate Apartments complex in southeast Orlando ended with one man dead following a shooting. According to WESH, the Orlando Police Department reported that the man was allegedly breaking into cars before he was shot and killed around 5:20 a.m. near Conway Road and Gatlin Avenue.
The individual accused of the shooting was found at the scene when officers arrived and are yet to face any charges as investigations continue quickly. The circumstances surrounding the shooting are still unclear, and additional details are expected to be disclosed as the investigation proceeds.
Meanwhile, WFTV noted that the shooting occurred specifically on Cypress Woods Drive at the gated apartment complex. The Orlando Police Department has declared the man was shot while breaking into a car and was pronounced dead at the scene. The report did not elaborate on the identity of the deceased or the shooter.
