The Tampa Police Department has reported a successful end to the search for 15-year-old Adelana Olafemi who had been missing since Christmas night. Adelana went missing from his home on E. Ellicott St. after 11:30 pm on Christmas, amid the grief of his brother Eniola's death, who passed away on November 17. Described as a black male, approximately 5'6" with a medium build and short braids, he was wearing a black shirt and black pants at the time of his disappearance. Fears were elevated due to the fact that Adelana left his home without necessary medication and his cell phone.
The Tampa Police, calling upon the community for assistance, had issued a search for the teen, asking anyone with information to come forward and providing a non-emergency number to facilitate tips.
