Monroe is getting festive with the Holiday Spark at Evergreen State Fair Park from December 5-8. This four-day community event features holiday activities, including a bazaar, live entertainment, and a food and clothing drive to support those in need during the winter season.
The Fair Park, a hub for year-round events, is looking to provide some holiday cheer this December. According to an announcement on the Snohomish County webpage, Fair Park Manager Mike Ohlsen said, "We are excited to open up the fairgrounds for people to have fun, support local businesses, and spread some holiday cheer!" The festivities will include an array of attractions like live music, costume characters, bingo, and more. For a sweet treat or a hearty meal, vendors will be serving up dishes from elephant ears to frybread.
For those looking for a private gathering space, the event offers the rental of themed igloos that can comfortably hold six people. Each rental comes with a VIP parking pass and is set with decorations, games, and activities for 75 minutes at the cost of $60. Visitors can book their igloos and learn more through the event's dedicated web page.
In addition to private igloos, the event will feature Frosty's Adventure Alley for children and a wine and beer garden for adults, offering special Holiday Spark drinks. Free parking is available in the red/west lot, with an option for $5 on-grounds parking. Those wishing to give back can participate in the non-perishable food and warm clothing drive to support the community. Details on suggested donations are available in the event's announcement.
The Holiday Spark serves as a reminder of the Evergreen State Fair Park's commitment to being an inclusive and accessible space for residents and visitors of Snohomish County. Since 1949, the 193-acre Fair Park continues to be a central venue for various events, including the much-attended Evergreen State Fair.
