
Montgomery County residents looking to cut down on their energy bills and spruce up their homes with weather-resilient upgrades have an event tailored just for them, Councilmember Natali Fani-González is set to host a workshop focused on energy-efficiency assistance programs in collaboration with the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development.
The workshop aims to enlighten local homeowners and home improvement businesses about the financial incentives that are on the table for energy-efficient home improvements, these programs promise to reel in energy costs and buttress houses against the wrath of extreme weather while at the same time boosting property sustainability. "Programs like these offer both environmental benefits and financial savings, making them essential for our community," Councilmember Natali Fani-González highlighted in a statement, as per Montgomery County Government News.
Slated for next Monday from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM, the informational session will unfurl at the WorkSource Montgomery Wheaton American Job Center, located at 11510 Georgia Ave., Wheaton, MD 20902. Alongside Fani-González, Linette Hatley from DHCD, Rabbiah Sabbakhan of the Department of Permitting Services, Jon Monger from the Department of Environmental Protection, and WorkSource Montgomery's Anthony Featherstone will shed light on the available opportunities.
