Monday morning commuters on the Southbound 405 Freeway got more than they bargained for today when a multi-vehicle collision occurred near Devonshire Street, leading to traffic delays and minor injuries.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department's alert, the incident was reported at 7:52 AM in the Granada Hills area and involved approximately seven vehicles. LAFD units responded to the scene along with the California Highway Patrol, which logged the incident as #515.
Despite the extensive damage to the vehicles involved, there were no reports of entrapment. Paramedics assessed four patients at the site, transporting a 30-year-old woman and a 2-year-old girl with minor injuries, without delay, firefighters cleared the way. The LAFD stated, "traffic on the SB 405 Fwy x Devonshire St will be significantly impacted until CHP has all vehicles cleared."
