Frisco's traffic landscape changed yesterday as the city powers up a brand-new traffic signal at the intersection of Main Street and Gartner Road. The lights will operate in flashing mode in an initial phase that started yesterday, according to the City of Frisco's announcement.
Main Street drivers will witness a flashing yellow, allowing them to proceed cautiously, while those on Gartner Road will be greeted by a flashing red signal, which requires a full stop similar to a stop sign. The new traffic pattern will become fully operational tomorrow, and the stop signs on Gartner Road at this intersection will disappear.
City officials are cautioning motorists to approach the intersection with increased caution while the community adapts to the shift in the traffic control signal's full functionality.
