Across the boroughs, today's conditions have been quite uniform with sunny skies and temperatures near 40 degrees, but with real-feel chills between 20 and 30 degrees. Starting tonight, you can expect increasing cloudiness and lows in the mid-30s for all areas, as reported by the National Weather Service's detailed forecasts for Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, and Staten Island.
The wind, traveling at speeds up to around 17 mph, is lending an edge to the already cool temperatures but nothing that New Yorkers can’t handle with their trusty layers and winter scarves. The outlook for Sunday brings the possibility of overcast skies in the morning, which should clear up to give way to mostly sunny conditions in the afternoon with highs creeping into the low 50s.
However, the workweek looks like it will start on a wet note with a high chance of rain on Monday after 1pm. Expect a 90 percent chance of precipitation and the potential for new precipitation accumulating between a quarter and half an inch, as seen in all borough forecasts. While carrying umbrellas, the wet weather seems to be a consistent guest through the middle of the week, with rain expected to last through Wednesday and highs possibly reaching into the high 50s.
