A fire broke out at an apartment complex on Park Place Boulevard last Sunday, around 8:23 p.m. at 8345 Park Place Blvd, 77017. The fire caused significant damage, but fortunately, no injuries were reported, according to the Houston Fire Department.
Firefighting teams quickly arrived at a building filled with smoke and began battling the flames while searching the premises for occupants. They ventilated the building to clear the smoke, and eventually located and extinguished the fire. A malfunctioning heater in a wall unit was determined to be the cause, which led to the fire spreading into the attic. The total estimated damage is $180,000, as reported by the Houston Fire Department.
