In a relatively mild incident near the renowned Seawall in Galveston, a tourist helicopter endured a mishap Tuesday, as reported by ABC13. While taking off, the helicopter, which was only carrying its pilot, tilted over at approximately a foot above the ground, just by Seawall Boulevard and Broadway.
The Galveston Police Department, amid the emergency response, detailed that no injuries were a consummation of the event, the helicopter merely turning over to its side. A bystander's footage showed the scene with a sign advertising "$50 helicopter rides," lying by the tilted chopper. KHOU stated the pilot was promptly taken from the helicopter, seemingly unharmed.
As officials circle the drawn curtains of uncertainty, the pain-staking job of piecing together the puzzle begins. What exactly caused the nearly airborne machine to tip remains currently unsaid. Yet, The Texas Department of Public Safety openly declared that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is to be alerted, and thus will step into the crevice to investigate what went awry.
