Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey expressed pride over this achievement, noting that the NCDOI's licensing applications and renewals are rid of mental health inquiries that might otherwise be deemed overly probing, this move ensures healthcare professionals in North Carolina can pursue mental health support without fretting over potential repercussions on their careers.
"We are honored by this recognition by ALL IN: Wellbeing First for Healthcare for our ongoing work to improve the well-being of healthcare workers in our state," Causey told the NCDOI. "The Department of Insurance is dedicated to doing everything we can to ensure North Carolinians have access to high quality mental health treatment, support, and resources."
