On Sunday morning in Novato, chaos was painted across the 7100 block of Redwood Boulevard. At approximately 2:40 AM, Novato Police and Fire Departments rushed to the scene of a collision involving a Honda minivan and four stationary vehicles. The disruption was pronounced, with the impact severing the rear passenger side door from the minivan,
The driver, identified as 28-year-old Jose Alfredo Baeza Cruz of Novato, was found to have been under the influence. According to a post by the Novato Police Department, Baeza Cruz was promptly arrested for DUI. Safely booked into the Marin County Jail, the driver received precautionary medical clearance at Novato Community Hospital.
The Novato Police confirmed no other injuries were reported during the incident.
