State Representative Justin Pizzulli has announced that the Wolfden Lake Dam in Shawnee State Forest will receive a significant boost in funding for much-needed improvements. Pizzulli recently announced that the Ohio Controlling Board has released $236,786.14 to enhance the dam's safety and functionality.

An agreement has been established with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and Sunesis Construction Co. to carry out the project. The funds are earmarked for crucial updates, including dam spillway enhancements and installing new drainage and erosion control systems on the adjacent hillside. However, there seems to be an incongruence, as the details of these improvements seem to suggest an undertaking that may surpass the initial budget.
