A fatal encounter in west Houston has left one person dead and another wounded following a shooting incident last evening. According to Click2Houston, the Houston Police Department received calls just after 5 p.m. about a shooting at a convenience store located at the intersection of Richmond Avenue and Dunvale Road.
Upon arrival, the officers found two individuals with gunshot wounds. Both men were quickly transported to the hospital, where one victim was pronounced dead from his injuries, while a other sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Police provided limited information about the suspect, describing him as wearing a white hoodie, a black beanie, multi-colored pants with white drawstrings, and black shoes, as abc13 reported.
The investigators working the case believe the shooting was the result of an argument between the gunman, who fled the scene before the police arrived, and one of the victims. As the manhunt continues for the perpetrator, law enforcement is diligently reviewing surveillance footage and actively seeking information from witnesses.
Authorities are encouraging anyone with information to come forward. Houston Police urge those who may know anything related to the shooting to contact Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
