A tragic incident occurred last night on Nova Road in Osceola County, where two vehicles collided head-on, resulting in one fatality and one person being seriously injured. The Florida Highway Patrol reported that the accident occurred around 6:30 p.m. near Story Bend Road. Troopers have started to thoroughly investigate the dynamics of the crash to fully ascertain the sequence of events that led to this unfortunate outcome.
According to ClickOrlando, a Ford transit van heading east on Nova Road veered over into the westbound lane, crashing into an oncoming Acura. The collision was severe enough to forcefully send the Acura off the roadway, where it overturned. The accident claimed the life of a 28-year-old man from Haines City, who was driving the Acura and later was pronounced dead at the hospital. The name of the deceased hasn't been released, pending notification of next of kin.
The aftermath of the crash saw the closure of Nova Road in both directions, with traffic being redirected at Pine Grove Road and Deer Park Road, as reported by WESH.
