
A grim scene unfolded in Finksburg, Carroll County, with one man found dead and another injured after a double-shooting yesterday morning. The Carroll County Sheriff's Office reported the fatality occurred in a pickup truck where both men were discovered at around 7:45 a.m., reported by WMAR-2 News. The driver succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The Sheriff's Office has asked the public to steer clear from the area of Wesley and Patapsco roads, which was the location of the crime. According to a statement posted online by law enforcement, investigators are treating the incident as targeted, suggesting that the shooting was not a random act of violence. Furthermore, there seems to be no ongoing threat to the general community, and the shelter-in-place order previously issued for nearby residents has been lifted.
Details about the motive and circumstances surrounding the shooting have not been disclosed, and the authorities are yet to make any arrests relating to the case. The names of both the deceased and the injured man have been withheld pending notification of next of kin and further investigation.
