Last night's calm was shattered in the 4300 block of Dresden Street, Columbus, when gunfire rang out, wounding one individual. According to a press release by the Columbus Police Department, officers were dispatched around 10:15 p.m. yesterday following reports of a shooting.
The arriving officers found an adult with a gunshot wound to their lower body. The victim's afflicted condition was, however, stable enough to be transported to a local hospital. They are expected to pull through after receiving the necessary medical intervention. The investigation, still unfolding, is swimming through the murky waters of an assault that leaves more questions than answers.
Currently, the Columbus Police have made no arrests, nor have they released any details regarding a possible suspect. By keeping the case open and their lines, too, the Felony Assault Unit hopes the community can assist in lighting the dark path toward justice.
