
The Orlando Police Department has arrested a 50-year-old man, Carleton D. Sealey, in connection with a death that occurred at the Avalyn West Apartments on Ivey Lane. This arrest was made in response to what was initially reported as a "suspicious incident." According to ClickOrlando, police were called to the scene last Wednesday, around the early hour of 4:14 a.m., where they discovered 46-year-old Jerome Thomas deceased.
Details provided by authorities about Thomas's cause of death remain undisclosed. Nevertheless, Sealey faces serious charges that include first-degree murder with a firearm. Home invasion robbery; burglary of a dwelling with an assault/battery with a firearm and fraudulent use of credit cards exceeding $100, WESH reported.
The Orlando Police Department stated that the arrest warrant for Sealey was executed on Saturday, signifying swift action taken by law enforcement to pursue justice for the incident. The incident has undoubtedly shaken the community residing in Avalyn West apartments. Sealey is currently being held at the Orange County jail.
