
A somber incident unfolded late Thursday night in Pasadena as a woman was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. Pasadena police responded to 4014 Fairmont Parkway at approximately 10:30 p.m. following a suspicious call. The victim was quickly transported to Memorial Hermann via Life Flight and, according to reports, underwent surgery, FOX26 Houston reported.
The identity of the woman, as well as that of the suspected shooter, has been kept under wraps as the investigation unfolds. The Pasadena PD Violent Crimes Unit is actively investigating the circumstances that led to the shooting. It is suspected that there may be some relationship between the suspect and the victim, but the motive is currently unknown, Click2Houston noted.
In a development shortly following the incident, the alleged shooter surrendered to officers at an undisclosed nearby location. Local authorities later found a gun close to a Pizza Hut in the vicinity, which is believed to be linked to the shooting. No additional details about the charges that the gunman will face have been shared as of yet, and the identity of the gunman remains undisclosed, Click2Houston reported. The investigation is still ongoing.
