The Pasadena Police Department is actively seeking two suspects involved in the fatal shooting of a man on Christmas Eve. The incident occurred at approximately 3:52 p.m. on Young Street near Fairmont Parkway. Upon arrival, officers discovered 26-year-old Chazz Williams inside a vehicle, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene, as reported by KHOU.
Chazz Williams, who resided in Georgia, was in Pasadena visiting family for the holidays. Witnesses observed two male suspects fleeing the area on foot following the shooting, heading west toward Fox Meadow Lane. One individual was noted for wearing a white and gray hooded sweatshirt paired with black pants, and the other garbed in black from head to toe. Police have now shared photos capturing the suspects' escape, mentioned KHOU.
Williams is survived by family members, including his 7-year-old daughter, who now must navigate life's milestones without her father's presence. "There’s a seven-year-old daughter that has to grow up and not have him be able to go to school meetings, to her plays, her prom, her dances, her wedding to walk her down the aisle," said Dawnielle Williams, the victim's mother, in an emotionally charged statement given to FOX26 Houston.
The police department has yet to release a motive for the shooting but confirms they have acquired surveillance footage showing the suspects. Friends and family remember Chazz Williams as a vibrant and jovial person. "Chazz was just a cheerful, bubbly, funny young man, which I would describe as funny. Just pleasant to be around," his mother recalled to FOX26 Houston. Amidst this tragedy, the family is seeking donations to cover funeral expenses, with a GoFundMe page set up for those who wish to offer support.
