
A somber scene unfolded in North Las Vegas on Tuesday evening as a pedestrian perished after being struck by a GMC Sierra pickup truck. According to FOX5 Vegas, the fatal incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. near Craig Road and Commerce Street. The North Las Vegas Police Department responded to the emergency, but despite their efforts, the man succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The initial investigation pointed out that the pedestrian was crossing the street outside of a marked crosswalk when he was hit. The driver of the pickup truck involved remained present upon law enforcement’s arrival, and, according to police, neither impairment nor speeding appears to have been a contributing factor to the tragic event. North Las Vegas Police have yet to release the identity of the deceased.
