Officers of the Petaluma Police Department made an arrest yesterday related to alleged narcotic sales in the vicinity of Hopper St. and Caulfield Ln. As per the Petaluma Police Department, the suspect, identified as Jesus Orosco, a 47-year-old from San Rafael, was discovered with a significant amount of methamphetamine.

Following a tip from a local citizen, officers from the department's Community Impact Response Team (C.I.R.T.) located a man fitting the description around noon. The initiated investigation revealed that Orosco was on active parole, and during a parole search, officers located just under a quarter pound of methamphetamine packaged for sale.

Orosco was arrested and transported to the Sonoma County Jail, where a parole hold was applied on top of the possession charge, as stated in the police department's notice.
