As the Pittsburgh sun dipped below the horizon yesterday evening, glimpses of the city's grit and resolve were again called into action. Pittsburgh Police and medical services answered an urgent call from the 1300 block of Montezuma Street, where a man had suffered a stab wound, as reported by the City of Pittsburgh.
Around 7:20 p.m. last night, an adult man was involved in an altercation on Center Avenue with an unknown attacker. During the fight, the victim was slightly injured with a small cut to his hand. He fled the scene, heading to Montezuma Street to get help and report the incident.
First responders quickly reached the injured man and provided care before taking him to a local hospital. Thankfully, his condition is stable, though the emotional impact of the incident may stay with him. An investigation has begun to determine what led to the attack, uncover the motives of those involved, and seek justice.
