Placer County has approved a $724,575 contract with Trailscape Inc. to begin construction on the second phase of trail expansion at Hidden Falls Regional Park. This project will improve connectivity for outdoor recreation, benefiting hikers and bikers, accoridng to the County of Placer.

The plan is to connect the existing 1,200-acre park with the nearby Big Hill Preserve through a new trailhead at 5345 Bell Road in North Auburn. To do this, builders will create about 4.5 miles of natural surface trails and add three small bridges over Raccoon Creek, as reported by the County of Placer.

Placer County is building a new trail at Hidden Falls Regional Park that will blend with the landscape. Erika Seward, Parks Administrator, said, "This project is an impressive step forward in creating a more connected and accessible Hidden Falls Regional Park." The trail will be ready by fall 2025 and will be open to hikers, bikers, and outdoor activities. For more details, visit the park's website, as stated by the County of Placer.
