The Plymouth Police Department is reaching out to the youngest members of their community with an event that combines playtime and storytime. Dubbed "Books with Badges," this initiative takes place within the colorful surrounds of the K.U.B.E. indoor playground at the Plymouth Community Center.
Scheduled for 10-11 a.m. on the coming Wednesdays of December 11 and December 18, according to the City of Plymouth, MN, officers will be on hand to read to preschool-aged children, wrapping up with a Q&A session about law enforcement life.
For families interested in attending, a little bit of planning is needed. Admission passes to the K.U.B.E. must be purchased for children to participate, picking up a ticket for $6 if they're Plymouth residents, or an $8 fee if they hail from outside of the town borders. But here's the kicker – children under the age of 3 can tag along for free, and the same goes for their parents or guardians, as per the City of Plymouth.
