A stabbing incident occurred in Long Beach which prompted an immediate response from local police. The event unfolded on the evening of December 27, when officers were dispatched to the 200 block of West Broadway as a result of a violent altercation. According to the Long Beach Police Department's official report, a male victim was discovered with non-life-threatening stab wounds to his upper body.
Long Beach Fire Department personnel were quick to arrive at the scene of the incident and provided necessary medical attention, subsequently transporting the victim to a local hospital for further treatment, the same report explains the nature of the conflict began with a verbal dispute outside, which then escalated into physical violence when the suspect allegedly stabbed the individual. The authorities managed to locate and apprehend the suspect, identified as 66-year-old Frank Alvin Sessions who is experiencing homelessness, in close proximity to the crime scene.
Following the arrest, Sessions faced numerous charges including assault with a deadly weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia, obstructing a peace officer, and an outstanding warrant, the report by the Long Beach Police Department mentions Sessions was booked with no bail offered, signaling the severity with which the authorities are treating the case. Notably, he faces an array of legal challenges in wake of the stabbing.
