
On Friday morning, after a police chase in Houston, officers confirmed the recovery of a body in Buffalo Bayou. The pursuit started around 2:15 a.m. near South Jensen Drive when police tried to stop a stolen car. The chase lasted 19 minutes before ending near the bayou, according to Click2Houston.
A vehicle failed to stop for police, and four young suspects ran into the bayou to escape. Police caught two of them, and a third was caught after trying to flee. The fourth suspect disappeared in the water, and a search by the fire department and dive team found a body. The identity of the person has not been released, as stated by KHOU.
Houston police provided an update on a recent case involving a deadly chase. "We don’t know for sure if he's in there in the bayou and possibly drowned, but we're going to search really hard," said HPD Lt. R. Willkens. After a search with dive teams, authorities found the body of a young man, believed to have been involved in an auto theft. The chase, which ended in Buffalo Bayou, is under investigation, as reported by KHOU.
