A Pontiac man has been charged with multiple counts of possessing child sexually abusive material following a tip-off to authorities by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Tiree Gonzalez, 26, faces six counts of aggravated possession after an investigation led by the Michigan State Police.
According to CBS News Detroit, the cyber tip prompted a search of Gonzalez’s residence, where police recovered digital evidence. The arrest underscores the grievous nature of the alleged offense and the vital role of cyber tips in triggering law enforcement's response to such criminal activities. Gonzalez was arraigned last Wednesday, and any individuals with information relating to potential child sexual exploitation are urged to report it to the appropriate channels.
The Detroit News reported that Gonzalez was arraigned in the 50th District Court in Pontiac. A judge set his bond at $10,000 and scheduled his next court appearance for Dec. 10. Court records did not, at that time, list an attorney for Gonzalez.
