
After months of investigation, Portland authorities have made a decisive move in the murder case of O'Marr Burnett. On Thursday, a suspect was taken into custody for the crime that unsettled the community back in June. Major L. Hudson, Jr, 42, a resident of Portland, was arrested by detectives from the Portland Police Homicide Unit along with the United States Marshals Service, according to the Portland Police Bureau.
Hudson is now facing charges of Murder in the Second Degree, Assault in the First Degree, and Robbery in the First Degree, as detailed by the Portland Police Bureau. Hudson was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center following his arrest.
The news, which is likely to bring some solace to Burnett's loved ones, was announced and, Mr. Burnett’s family has been notified of the arrest, as per the Portland Police Bureau.
