A brazen theft at a Napa Ulta store was swiftly met with an effective response by local law enforcement. According to a social media post from the Napa Police Department, officers were alerted to a theft in progress at the beauty retailer.
Upon arriving, they discovered that four individuals had entered Ulta and, with hammers in hand, began smashing display cases hurriedly to seize merchandise. Quick thinking by responding officers led to the capture of a suspect vehicle's photograph and determined its direction towards the southbound lanes of Highway 29. There, the Napa Sheriff’s Deputies spotted the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop that led to the detention of all four occupants without incident.
Authorities found numerous stolen bottles of perfume and other items inside the car, collectively valued at over $24,000. The officers promptly identified all four suspects. It was later revealed that three of the apprehended suspects were juveniles. In the aftermath, the suspects' vehicle was impounded, and the recovered stolen goods were duly returned to their rightful place on Ulta's shelves.
