Two teenagers, previously charged with several armed robberies in 2023, were re-arrested after being involved in another robbery on Tuesday. One of the teens, 17-year-old Hser Thaw, was on probation after pleading guilty to a robbery charge in October, as reported by the Nashville Police Department.
Detective Cole Ranseen was patrolling near Gillespie Drive when he got a robbery report involving a silver Toyota Rav4. He found the vehicle, chased it, and it crashed into a wall. The suspects ran on foot, and Thaw was caught after a short chase. A gun was found near him, and the robbery victim identified him. Thaw faces charges of robbery, evading arrest, and using a gun. His bond is $285,000, and he might have a probation violation, according to the Nashville Police Department.
A second youth, Nathan Naw, 18, also involved in the incident, escaped from the crashed vehicle and forcibly entered a home on Faulkner Drive, claiming he was pursued by adversaries. The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department helicopter crew observed Naw's movements leading to his discovery inside the home by police officers. According to the resident, Naw was an unknown intruder, leading to his charge for aggravated criminal trespassing. Naw was out on a $150,000 bond, equipped with an ankle monitor due to pending 2023 aggravated robbery and gun charges. Post-arrest, he is held on a $4,000 bond for the trespassing offence, and his connection to the recent armed robbery is under further scrutiny, as stated by the Nashville Police Department.
