Authorities in Rancho Cucamonga were prompted to swiftly act this past Friday following reports of a driver seemingly losing control of their motor functions and their vehicle, leading to a high-risk situation and ultimately an arrest for driving under the influence and narcotics possession. The Rancho Cucamonga Police responded to the incident around 8:10 p.m. at the intersection of East Avenue and Banyan Street, where they discovered the vehicle—and its driver—in the dirt near East Avenue and Wilson Street, according to the SBSD Rancho Cucamonga Police Department.
Saul Ulloa, a 28-year-old Rialto resident, showed clear signs of intoxication and was detained under suspicion of DUI. A subsequent search of the vehicle purported to reveal a sizeable amount of illegal substances. Officials stated they found approximately "1.5 pounds of psilocybin (mushrooms), 9.25 pounds of marijuana, 1.8 pounds of CBD wax, 129 mL of liquid CBD wax, a scale, and several denominations of US currency." These discoveries prompted further charges, with Ulloa being booked at the West Valley Detention Center for possession with the intent to distribute.
