Two individuals in west Las Vegas were hospitalized with critical injuries after being struck by a vehicle on Monday night. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department believes the incident occurred while the individuals were involved in a fight, possibly related to road rage, as stated by FOX5.

The collision occurred just after 10 p.m. at the intersection of Tropicana Avenue and Fort Apache Road, according to a police statement shared by News3LV. Two men, who were reportedly involved in a confrontation in one of the travel lanes, were struck by a northbound Toyota Camry. Both were taken to UMC in critical condition.

The driver of the impacted vehicle stayed at the scene after the accident. As reported by FOX5, officials confirmed that impairment was not a factor. Two people were injured and taken to UMC Trauma for treatment. Authorities are continuing to investigate the crash and are working to determine what led to the incident.
