The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office recently made two significant drug busts through their Regional Enforcement of All Crimes Team. The first involved a 29-year-old man from Bell Gardens, Jose Garcia, who was arrested with around 7 pounds of cocaine worth an estimated $45,000. In a separate incident, 24-year-old Pedro Anaya was arrested with 70,000 pressed fentanyl pills and 33 pounds of powdered fentanyl, enough to potentially create over 10.5 million lethal doses, as reported by the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office.

According to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office on their Facebook page, "Drug cartels frequently use unique stamped markings such as the swastika and 187 (the California Penal Code for murder) to traffic, market, and flood our local communities with their lethal poisons." This reflects the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to address drug trafficking in the region.

Regional Enforcement of All Crimes Team is a team made up of several agencies, including the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, Placer County District Attorney’s Office, California Highway Patrol, and El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office. Recent drug busts show their ongoing work to stop illegal drugs from reaching Northern California. These efforts help disrupt drug cartels and reduce the supply of harmful substances in the area.
